Standards

The International Standardization Organization (ISO) brought standardization to the international level in 1987 by defining three levels of quality assurance.

ISO requires that all procedures, work instructions, processes and related activities be documented and requires a 'third party' audit of all facilities prior to attainment and ongoing auditing at six monthly intervals. An ISO is a solid foundation on which to build and is clear evidence that the organization 'does what it says', and adherence to ISO has become a major element of purchasing contracts throughout the world.
