He also added, "At the recently held ConExpo trade show in Las Vegas, we demonstrated the TWISTOMETER program to some of our distributors and it was very well received. Bridon American Revolutionizes Crane Rope Selection |
|
|
(Wilkes-Barre, PA) Bridon American has launched a new Internet-based crane wire rope selector called the TWISTOMETER. This Service is currently being offered to Bridon American preferred distributors as part of their Distributor Support Program. This proprietary service allows users to input criteria on their crane rigging and lifting requirements and the program will do the rest by recommending wire ropes based upon the information provided. In addition to the wire rope recommendation, the TWISTOMETER also offers in-depth data via a printed report, which can be shared with the distributors' customers. Some of the data covered includes critical heights of lift (maximum length of fall) and displacement (number of degrees displaced at a particular length of fall). The Bridon Group's research and development team, who utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to calculate the torque and turn of wire ropes, provides much of the Twistcheck (TM) information used in TWISTOMETER. According to Gary Rogers, Manager of Marketing Services for Bridon American, "This Internet-Based program has been in development over the past several years and is the culmination of hard work on the part of Bridon's marketing and technical groups. |
